Board of Directors

Sara Roper

Sara Roper

President

Sara Roper has been a homeowner on the East side of the Greens since 2016. Unanimously elected to serve as President of the Board in February 2024, she has been a Board member since 2019. Sara’s business background enables her to be a very productive Board member because she has extensive experience in facility management, real estate sales, event management, accounting, insurance, and human resources. Sara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Accounting.

Over the past few years, the Board has engaged in a number of projects that Sara worked on including painting the complex, sub-metering the entire water system, replacing the water lines on the East side, transitioning to a new accounting service, and passing the 2022 Special Assessment and Dues Cap Increase.

While Sara was recently appointed to the position of President, she previously served as the founding Chair of the Architectural Review Committee (ARC), working to develop the ARC Guidelines and the process for implementing the guidelines. Sara also served as Secretary and Treasurer,  developing many of the personnel and compensation policies at the Greens and collaborated with the accounting staff to implement them.

When Sara and her husband Rick are not in Tucson, they appreciate the time they spend at their lake home in southern Michigan. Yard work and lake duties keep them pretty busy during the summer.  Also, their children and grandchildren love to swim, tube, and ride the sea doo and pontoon boat. Sara and Rick still find time for pickleball, long walks around the lake, reading their favorite novels, and traveling.
Jodi Hempel

Jodi Hempel

Vice President

Jodi fell in love with Tucson while here on vacation and decided that she would live here one day.  She started to make her dream come true in 2008 when she purchased her condo on the West side.  She was a part-time resident until 2014 when moved here full-time from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. While in California, Jodi worked for a large mortgage insurance company. She led the training and organizational development group which was responsible for training of the company’s employees as well as training of the employees of its mortgage lender customers. When Jodi moved to Tucson, she became a self-employed trainer and speaker helping people get from where they are to where they want to be.  She is a Certified Jack Canfield Success Principles trainer and SkillPath Virtual Trainer.

Jodi was her mother’s caregiver for over 20 years following a massive stroke.  That led her to share her experience as the lead author of the book “Life: The Next Phase.  Navigating the Issues of Caring for Your Aging Parents or Loved Ones.”  She leads the Arizona Daughterhood circle, a group for women who are family caregivers to their aging family members.

Growing up, Jodi traveled with her parents (she crossed the Atlantic 8 times by the time she was 14) and picked up the travel bug.  She loves to visit new places and learn about the history and culture.  She has a long bucket list of places still to visit. No matter where her travels take her, Jodi always loves coming home to Tucson.  When in town, she likes to walk in Sabino Canyon (when not too hot), go wine tasting in Sonoita, read mysteries, listen to live music at Monterey Court, and try out Tucson’s many great restaurants.

A Board member since 2022, Jodi was unanimously elected to serve as the Vice President of the Board in February 2024. She also serves as the Chair of the Rules and Regulations Committee, and Chair of the Social Committee.

Kathy Nohr

Kathy Nohr

Treasurer

Kathy Nohr was unanimously appointed to fill the vacant seat on the Board of Directors in February 2024. When the Board announced their request for letters of interest, Kathy was the sole applicant who rose to the occasion, offering the Board an extremely well-qualified candidate to appoint.

Owners at the Greens since 2018, Kathy and her husband, John Eisenhardt, are active community members. As seasonal residents, they divide their time between Arizona and Michigan. Their ownership of two condos at the Greens offers them the perspectives of both seasonal and investment ownership. When applying to serve on the Board, Kathy emphasized her interest in assisting with the ongoing maintenance and growth of the Greens community.

For 20 years before her retirement, Kathy owned a business selling, customizing, and installing ERP systems including financial systems, distribution, and manufacturing computer systems for medium to large businesses. Over the years, she grew her organization from a small two-person shop to 65 employees, which was rolled up into an international organization of more than 200.

With her solid background in accounting and finance from both internal accounting and installing major financial systems for clients and her MBA in international technology and finance, Kathy was an ideal candidate to be unanimously elected as Treasurer. Along with her professional background, Kathy has served on several non-profit boards over the years, including as treasurer at the Matthieu Botanical Gardens and in her current position on the finance committee for a Michigan Montessori school. Kathy also does volunteer work at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and fundraises for non-profits in MI. Kathy is also working on a Pima Master Gardener Certificate, which is an excellent asset for the Association.

Director

Rich Conrad and his wife April have been Greens owners since 2006. Rich joined the Board of Directors during the initial election of Directors in the fall of 2017. He has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer.
